Saying goodbye to DC!!

Welll, we toured the capital today! We started with the Newseum and at first, I was a little nervous I’d be bored. But, I quickly came to find that it would be one of the most interesting places I’d ever visit! It had everything; from 9/11 to dogs that have lived in the White House. My favorite thing I saw was the September 11th gallery. It had a piece of the plane in there and a piece of the Pentagon. It also had a video to watch and it explained that there was only one journalist that died while covering the story. I saw a few minutes later that they had everything that he had on him while covering the story. His jacket was there and it still had the debris and everything still on it. It was crazy and it really got to me that we had been at Ground Zero the day before, where so many people lost their lives. It was tough to hold back the tears. But, the museum was awesome!!

Then, we went to the Holocaust Museum and it was packed. We didn’t really get to see much!

Then, we headed to the White House!! We walked around the back adn there was a Press conference going on! The Prime Minister from France was there! I didn’t get to see him though (not that I would have known him, anyway!)

After that we went to eat. I ate at Chipolte (that was for you, Mama and Alfie!) Then, we went back to the hotel for an early night. And now I’m trying to make it into bed! I’ll blog tomorrow from the BEACH!
