Day Two: Chicago/ Cleveland!

Well, first, I’d like to start off by saying thank you to my grandpa for keeping up with what I’ve been up to! Also, for leaving me my one and only comment! And my response to it would have to be, he’s right. I’m on a once in a lifetime trip and a lack of details about what I see and where I stay would just be wrong. So, I’m going to try and make up for it today by being as descriptive as possible.. for my grandpa, Alfie!

I woke up around eight and made my way down to the breakfast room. We all ate and decided to head to Michigan Avenue to check out some of the shops! Wow, I really didn’t know what I was in for. There were some of the fanciest shops I’ve ever seen and I was allowed to go into any one that I wanted. We stopped at the Nike store, Apple store, Macy’s (which was beautiful), H&M, a realllly expensive shoe store and XXI (which back home is Forever 21). Oh, and not to mention, there was a Walgreens on literally, EVERY corner!!

After we had had enough of Michigan Avenue, we then went to check out Millennium Park. Not only did we see the Bean (which was amazing), but we also saw a couple getting married and a mime performing on the street! Chelsy and I were both really glad we didn’t pass that opportunity up!

We then realized the time and saw that we were already late! We were supposed to meet back at the hotel at 1:30 and it was 1:35, but we really wanted a slice of Chicago’s famous deep dish pizza! So, we found a little Italian sandwich shop and went in to buy a piece and let me tell you, it was worth all the hype! That pizza was good!

Our day of fun had to come to an end sometime though and it really sunk in when Davis said it would be another 5 hours on the bus until we got to Cleveland. But, my friends make the bus rides enjoyable and it seemed like we were there in no time.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and I’m not going to lie, it looked pretty dang creepy in there when we first walked in. High ceilings, old building, weird floor, oh, and not to mention, our room was on the 13th floor!! Our phone didn’t work and neither did our internet and Kendra says that Heath Ledger was the ghost haunting our room! But, on the brighter side, our room was huge! Probably 3 times the size of the last one, and I ended up sleeping REALLY good!

We’re now on the road again, on the way to NEW YORK! I’ve never been and I can hardly hold in how excited I am!!! So, next time I blog, I’ll be a brand new girl who has officially seen NEW YORK! AHH!! (:

I love you Alfie! (:
