Day-One Down, Nine To Go!

The eight hour drive wasn’t near as bad as I thought. Besides the frequent potty breaks and some sudden brake checks, it was a smooth ride. We arrived in Chicago around 5:00; we knew we were here as soon as we saw the giants buildings. Eli, our bus driver, unloaded us and our many bags into our hotel and we slowly made our way to the 8th floor. When we made it to our rooms, we were in for a surprise! Our room was the smallest, dinkiest room I’ve ever seen in my life and four girls in a dinky room with huge luggage, isn’t a good mix!

We barely settled in our rooms and we rushed back out the front doors to head to Ed Debevics for dinner. It was an.. uh.. interesting..? place. If you haven’t heard of this place before, I’ll fill you in. The waiters are paid to be rude to you. They throw the straws and the menus and they yell as often as they can. It was fun though and it’s a memory I won’t forget any time soon.

Then, we hit the town.. Well, one store, ha! But let me tell you about this store, EIGHT STORIES of Nike, Under Armour and all kinds of fun stuff! It was amazing!

After that, we went back to the hotel and we’re currently sitting in our rooms. Tomorrow.. shopping and off to Cleveland and that means only TWO MORE DAYS TIL NEW YORK! (:
